Devastated by the death of his father, Navajo teenager Stevie Washington leaves his home on the reservation for California and a dangerous new world of cholos, gangs, and
,retaliation. Here, Stevie works to build a new life playing street soccer with a group of misfits led by unpredictable outcast Freedom Richards.

After gangs take over the soccer park, Stevie and his friends try out for the high school’s prestigious varsity soccer team. When fierce rivalry on and off the field leads to tragedy, Stevie realizes his true test is to master the inner rage that threatens to destroy him.
