A plain girl from Ohio takes her first vacation after her mother's death, and goes to Europe. While there, she accidentally rides her bike into a great forest and gets lost. She is rescued by a mysterious man who has many secrets. He takes her back to an ancient palace in the Citadel where she is treated like royalty by the servants. The man and the palace hold many dangerous secrets. Will this lonely man be able to convince the girl to stay with him?
