Stranded in a Cosmos of Despair...

Having fled horrors beyond description, Erik von Mendelsöhn finds himself in circumstances that might shatter a weaker mind when he and saucy Peenemünde are taken into custody by servants of Deneb.

Having been scanned by their strange science his brain is found to be suitable for assignment as replacement Navigation Assistant, a position they're desperate to fill. Potential candidates are rare who possess the requisite white matter in their brain to engage with the navigator.

Encouraged by his assignment to a position of note he is disturbed to learn of a sinister, underlying stream of mutiny threatening to ensnare him. Then he learns the captain has intentions of his own for the German girl he loves.

Momentarily they will take aboard a gray-back. Erik has a decision to make – one with potential history-altering reverberations…
