Racers: Apollo's Story

Racers: Apollo's Story is the first of a short story series set in a dystopian world of vehicular racing. Apollo grew up as a homeless boy after his parents were consumed by The War. His best friend, Casey, and he learned to survive on the streets until their early twenties. At that time their paths crossed that of Mr. Gourami, an old man well versed in the art of Racing. Internal combustion racing went the way of the dinosaur after The War resulted in the mass production of nuclear power. Sleeker, more powerful cars were built around their nuclear cores, offering unprecedented speeds. In this initial installment, we will follow Apollo's experience as he goes through the culminating event of his life; the Tabula Rasa.
