Forerunner: Back To Earth

Zeke Taylor found a young man laying unconscious by the river near his rural Kansas home. Rescuing Danil has led Zeke on an adventure off the planet and into a conflict between the Anyari, Danil's people, and the Rogue, a race of sentient machines.

Returning to Anyar in the middle of another attack with the legendary weapon Danil had been seeking, they turned the tide and have become, deserving or not, heroes.

Not bad for a kid from a small county with more cows than people.

Now Anyar's king (and Danil's father) has invited him to join the latest class in one of the planet's military academies. Aristocratic families oppose this, as do many others. Danil and his father, though, say that the see something in him that Anyar needs.

Far from home, lonely and guilty at leaving his family behind, Zeke has taken up the challenge. Whether he can silence the naysayers remains to be seen.
