Set in London, the English countryside, Paris, the Cote d'Azur and Venice at a time of immense social change during the last four decades of the twentieth century, this is the humorous and touching story of Jack and Lucy from the time of their first meeting, their families and friends. A story of impulsiveness; permissive passion; the mutuality of marriage; the depression of miscarriage and the emptiness of hope unfulfilled; guilt; secrecy and enduring love.
Julian Pearce has been resident on the island of Majorca for the past forty eight years. After an early career in paper, printing and graphic design, he turned his hand to designing and building holiday homes on the island for an international clientele. This is his first novel.
