Kate Jennings arrives in Memphis, Tennessee from London with her long-term boyfriend John in tow. She and her brother Jacob are expanding their vegetarian restaurant business in that city and it requires for Kate to live in Memphis. John isn’t pleased about Kate’s choice when she buys a large property with an unpleasant history outside Memphis. John doesn’t like America and the friction between Kate and him results in Kate sending John packing. Kate, meanwhile, has met a new man, a country singer named David. They fall in love but their relationship doesn’t run smoothly with their different careers constantly impeding. It makes Kate feel ambivalent and uncertain. Furthermore, the ghostly happenings in her house worry her until they culminate in a murder attempt. When she witnesses David passionately kissing another woman in his dressing-room, Kate impulsively rushes to the airport and, broken-hearted, flies back to London, where fate follows her …
