Liu Shanshan’s simple life farming with her brother and father is turned upside down when Lord Ximen burns down the farm and kills her father on a charge of treason. Liu is thrown into a cage, to be executed the next day, but escapes with three gallant outlaws.

Now she and her mentor, Guan Shi, have reached the provincial capital Tiangjin. Turmoil erupts in the city when Roaming Tiger and the Purple Demon duel. Meanwhile, Liu Shanshan and Sun the sorceress plot to release Guan Song from prison, only to find themselves imperilled.
