Christmas Wish

Jade sat on the floor, snuggled up under a warm blanket and staring at the wall, bored. It was nearly nine o'clock at night and she was beginning to wonder where her friends were. It was Christmas Eve and her boyfriend, Damion, had been left to find work in Seattle. Despite not wanting to, she had stayed in the town of Jerome to finish out the school year in her profession as a nurse. This Christmas, however, she would get an unexpected gift.
