The Man without a V

The Man without a V opens with Tom in Happy Days Rehabilitation Center, still trying to find love, romance, sex, and marriage, but now without a V. Tom meets many interesting characters among the analysts, staff, and residents at Happy Days. Friendship with a four-year old boy and his mother leads him into a satisfying family situation, but just when he is released from therapy, crises at the facility and at his work place threaten to destroy his newfound equilibrium.
In the previous book, Man with a V, Tom has extra genitalia that causes him some grief as a teenager, but later also gives him much pleasure in amorous adventures with lovers. He marries a woman who at first appreciates his V, then insists on its removal. The loss of his V ruins his marriage and self-confidence, forcing him to enter a rehab facility.
