Turning Points: The Guitar

In the first story in the series is It Started With The Dog Jennie and dog meet Sara and the interaction between them changes both their lives. The stories deal with relationships, denial, cooking, dogs, religious belief or not, becoming independent, the soothing properties of plants - or at least somewhat with all those topics - the last one is a little iffy. By the end of the last story The Guitar all the characters have been through and resolved many problem/situations and their lives go on but without this writer to document them. Think of it as the end of season one of a television drama.
