The manual is in two parts: ‘An Exploration of Art and Alignment’, covers the following topics: The Subtle Energy Field, Right and Left Brain, Imagery and Healing, Soul Connection, Releasing Memory, Blocks to Creativity, Intuitive Response and Life Purpose. Practical guidelines are given.
‘Personal Stories of Art and Alignment’ presents individual experiences of healing through art from members and friends of Rainbow Light Trust.
* In ‘A Healing Journey’, Louise Oliver illustrates her creative and healing process, in recovering from a life-threatening illness and major surgery.
* Nancy Wait has written ‘The Painted Path’, a personal account of the healing power of art, with images from memories and dreams brought to life in vibrant paintings.
* ‘It’s Never Too Late!’ describes how Betty Warters began painting in watercolour at the age of 82, enabling her to release burdens and to heal memories of pain, grief and loss.
These stories show how we can use imagery to help us to transform energy patterns. Through an understanding of the principles of alignment we open intuitive pathways to our heart and higher mental faculties, residing beyond the mundane world of logic and rational thought. In nurturing our innate creative ability, we can experience a spiritual awakening and a soul calling, allowing us to begin our healing process by developing our own unique gifts.
Art and Alignment is concerned with both connection and expression. We can choose to be in alignment with higher consciousness, tapping into a source of positive, creative energy and bringing that energy into the world. We live in times when it is an urgent matter to make space for creativity and to invite it into our everyday lives. We need to be making good use of our creative resources and imagining different futures for our world. We are all creative by nature, yet we have the ability to use our creative powers both well and badly, helping to bring about discord or harmony. There are many reasons why we may feel blocked, yet the vital message here is that we can always choose whether or not to allow creative energy to flow through us and we are given practical tools to so.
We are creative beings and spiritual beings and when we align with our true purpose and express ourselves creatively, we can move forward in new ways. Before starting any creative work we will do well to ask for assistance and to take a few minutes to practise the Emerald Alignment. We can begin with a simple meditation, which we can complete with an Emerald Alignment. When we start working from this place of alignment, we connect to intuition and bring higher vibrations through to the task in hand.
Art and Alignment has to do with the connection of spirit and matter and with the soul’s expression through imagery and creative work. We are sent messages through intuition, insight, imagination, dreams and visions. It is up to us to improve our channels of communication and our ability to receive and understand. We can always choose to align rather than allow the lower mind and perceived limitations to rule the day!
