The collection features the following stories:
The story, "Hypocrite", follows a boy spending a day off school with his friend, Jake. With most at work, the city is uncrowded and the day is beautiful. All should be well but the boy embraces the day too fondly, Jake questions his ideas. Some off-hand remarks set the stage for two friends to truly know each other and perhaps end friendship on uncommon ground.
"Godly Art" tells the story of two security guards working a night shift at an art museum. Since it is a holiday, they are alone. Tom, one of the guards, does not mind this one bit. It allows him to gaze at a new art piece of The Heavenly Father. His partner, Nate, is less enthusiastic with 'God,' sparking debate. The two of them are not the only ones interested in artwork in the middle of the night.
The last story comes with both the original and a rewrite. Minds can think the same in different ways and two versions of "Ghost Thoughts" show this. The premise of them is the same. Ben and Lily are walking through a neighborhood after a night of drinking. The cold, wet night is a perfect setting for a haunting, though. Ben and Lily remain skeptical of clichés until, straight out of a ghost story, a car begins to follow them without a driver.
