Nyssa could hear the smile in his voice. “Scary demons?”
“When it comes on at home alone, I can’t even watch the channels touching the one it’s on.”
“Wanna watch it with me?”
“I’d rather not.”
“Why? You don’t like me, either?”
Narrowing her eyes, Nyssa looked at him and made a small show of considering him thoughtfully by moving her head to look him up and down.
“If a woman watches a scary movie with a man who is after her, it means she’s choosing to be vulnerable in front of him.”
“You’re vulnerable now.”
“Oh, I think I’m good. This is just a dream, so, really, no need to worry about you.”’

Nyssa Bane has been having strange dreams featuring the same foul-mouthed, handsome demon who keeps trying to claim her.
Sent by the Queen of Hell, Dag’s mission is to protect Nyssa and help her find a clue the Queen is after. But, first, he has to figure out how to get her to stop wanting him to leave her alone. That’s because Nyssa believes he’s just an annoying, darkly thrilling, figment of her imagination.
