Mel's Groovy New Life

This is a work of fiction, but as factual as possible, the series starts in 1974 Suburban Australia, when our lead character is told about changing rooms, but wants to stay with his sister, and informs his family that he wished he had been born a girl.
His sister who has been slowly training him for many months, finally decides to come clean and they decide for him to become a girl.
Mel does cop some negativity, even ends up in hospital more than once, as does a member of her family, but she meets some amazing people along the way, who support her, this includes several who become very special to her.
There is a chapter about a friend's real transition story in the 1950's, which I have left a lot of what she told me out, as it sickened me so much.
This is the first and teaser to the series, contains Transgender and Lesbian themes.
Readers can use their imagination as I stop sections to allow that.
Each part will end on a Cliff-Hanger.
