African Horror Stories (volume one)

The old lady glanced at her outstretched hand but she didn't take the card. "The waters need one
soul more. Leave now before they take you too".
And she hurried out of the restaurant. Stephanie ran after her but the old lady was gone.
She paused for a few minutes and finally decided to head back to the office.
She revved her car engine and sped out of Adam's street.
"Damn!!"I am still thirsty". She wiped the sweat off her brow."That old lady scared me from drinking" She muttered angrily to herself.
About a block away, she spied upon another restaurant.
"I need a bottle of chilled water". She called out to the sales boy when she stopped in front of another place.
Her throat began to hurt.
She began to cough out bloody phlegm. The store assistant rushed to her aid but it was too late.
Her last thoughts were of the old lady's haunting words. "Leave now before they take you too”
