The Gladiatorial Combat League is entering its darkest era yet. Due to the events that unfolded at Seven Deadly Sins, there is no one worthy to challenge Vornakai for the GCL World Championship.

The biggest event in the company's history, Colosseum Classic X, is only a few weeks away. Vornakai and John Barth – the chair of the United States Department of Sports & Entertainment – have big plans for the GCL's future, and they plan to use this event as a springboard to that “glorious new era.” But CEO Gary Blackman won't let go of his company without a fight, and he's ready to put everything on the line at next month's event.

Meanwhile, waiting in Dr. Maxwell's office is Stephen Barker, known to the nation as Submission. It's only a matter of time before he is freed from the formula that turned him into a monster, and soon, he'll be have the chance to face his former master in the ring.
