In the not-too-distant future, a nationwide rebellion results in a neo-Puritanical society that takes its cue from the book "The Handmaid’s Tale". Unlike the book, however, the country’s new rulers have a strategy to ensure willing re-population through an enticing monthly ritual of sexual sadomasochism and erotic abuse. Instead of being part of a passionless, impersonal ceremony, the handmaiden’s body is the inspiration for everyone involved to not only participate in the ritual, but eagerly look forward to it.
DeStephen is one of those handmaidens. Before the coup, she’s an up-and-coming executive. Not long after, she becomes the victim of a government-sanctioned abduction. Overnight, her life becomes a montage of depraved training and education that includes being sexually tormented in ways she never would have imagined. What is even less imaginable, however, is how she adjusts to the BDSM and carnal use that goes into the making of a handmaiden, and how – eventually – even the Ritual’s painful lash doesn’t meet her growing, decadent needs.
(Editor's Note: This work contains graphic language and sometimes extreme depictions of consensual female bondage and sexual sadomasochism. It is intended for mature audiences only and is not suitable for persons under eighteen years of age.)
