The Time Traveller, a lady living in Victorian London, is able to build a machine for travelling through time. She hopes to use it to travel to the far future and bring back evidence of humanity’s culture and enlightenment. Instead, she discovers two descendent races, the Eloi and the Morlocks, struggling with each other for survival. She then ventures even further into the future, visiting a cold and desolate Earth, decaying under the waning Sun.
