The Uran war machine has awoken and is scenting new prey. They have taken the ice-moon Jar’Frir. Where will they go next? The One-Eyed King? Possibly even Terra?

Sage-Instruct Qira, searching for her vanished lover, Nessum, treks deep into the dangerous archipelago of the Uran colonies as they muster for war. Here, amid the gene-tampered monstrosities and vine-cable infrastructure, she finds him. But it seems he has been busy and is in no hurry to leave. As she digs deeper, Qira discovers the truth of the Uran’s recent rise to power and Nessum’s part in it.

Meanwhile, the Olattim commander, Ivilga, is leading her Recon squad through the backwaters of the Uran system, on a mission from her superiors in the Defence Forces. Fighting her way through the orbiters and training grounds of the feared Uran Troopers, she finds herself facing something darker than she could ever imagine.

Together, both must face their deepest fears, and make painful decisions that could impact the fate of the system.
