The book is about tradition, culture and norms. These are the ways of life of a people in a particular generation. This is with regards to the type of foods they ate, social interactions among one another and the joy they derived from such socialization. It also talks about the various cultural groups and their affiliates, coupled with the extent of involvement of different age groups.

The book is a reflection of the ways of life of different people and tribes in some parts of Nigeria that have been forgotten and abandoned due to civilization and religious sentimentality. It is therefore an insight into some cultural and traditional practices and the changes that have evolved with particular reference to South-Eastern part of Nigeria. Minor references are also made to the Northern and Western regions.
