If you are one of those who think Buddhists are worshiping trees, caves, rivers and mountains, this book is for you. The Chinese found out the mind and the physical body were two different things long before Sakyamuni was born. However, the beauty of the Chinese is that they are able to learn from other culture. They don't say our God is the only true one and you are worshiping devils, because they know others can also turn around and say that to them. Is my message clear?

The soul is the mind which is not permanent but is a form of energy. This mind, if properly trained, enjoys unshakeable freedom with inner equipoise that cannot be affected by gain and loss, honour and dishonor, praise and blame, pleasure and pain.
The intentional physical and mental actions decide what sort of life we will have in future. Cruel and evil people will be reborn in hell, or if in human world, at least ugly and in a predominance of painful experiences, with many defects. Therefore it is best to purify and free the mind.
The mind is agitated or confused most of the time. Cleaning the mind from defilement is like the grain going against the wind. After a session of meditation your mind will be calm and peaceful. A mind without a body is the spirit. The Buddha uses 40 meditation objects to calm the mind of the practitioners. However, each practitioner will have to work on it by himself. The teacher only shows the way. Buddhism doesn’t have to be very ritualistic. You don’t have to pray, light incense and candles if you don’t want to.
To be able to succeed in meditation, you must be steadfastly firm and be fully integrated with the object of meditation. Meditation is a way of countering and alleviating all the mental irritations and difficulties which have plagued us for a very long time. Regardless of how abundant material wealth they may have, these people will never be happy because they are extremely greedy and they always want more. Mentally ill and drug addicts will not be able to practice meditation
