Most Men Are Gay

You know I imagine certain things pop right to mind when reading a title such as this. Things like “Oh this is just a gay man’s wishful thinking,” or “Just another closet homosexual who can’t come to terms with who he is,” or “Some gay man attempting to justify his sexuality.” These are understandable assumptions, but they could not be further from the truth. I am simply a HETEROSEXUAL man who has been constantly and objectively observing the world and the people around him for a very long time.
But stating that most men are gay is obviously a radical assertion (not to mention extremely controversial) because the world as we know it is predominantly heterosexual. At least that's what we see when we turn on the television or walk out the front door and observe the world around us. People everywhere are engaging in some form or another of heterosexual activity. But this predominant heterosexual world is only the reality for those not proficient at differentiating between homosexual men from heterosexual men, and contrary to what many believe most people are not proficient at this. This is primarily due to the majority of homosexual men not fitting into the age-old stereotype.
And not only are most men gay, but most of these men are either in or pursing heterosexual relationships. The overriding reason for this is that homosexuality is just as unaccepted as ever, despite many believing otherwise – a result of societal prescriptions to conform with the “norm” and accepted behaviour, which is that of monogamy with a female partner. As one source states, “Homosexuals are to be accepted, but their so-called ‘lifestyle’ is not to be encouraged nor accepted as a replacement for heterosexual unions.” That’s equivalent to saying that homosexuality is unaccepted, period.
Most homosexual men are “in the closet;” most homosexual men do not fit the age-old stereotype; most homosexual men are either in or pursuing heterosexual relationships; most women in relationships with homosexual men are unaware that their man is gay; there are many homosexual men unaware of their sexual orientation; contrary to what many believe, homosexuality is exceedingly unaccepted; we are immersed in a seemingly predominant heterosexual world when we are living in anything but.
Most Men Are Gay provides insight into these kinds of things and illustrates how it is such knowledge about society can, in principle, be attained.
