My personal notes on the book of proverbs chapters 1-9. Great book to study and gain wisdom and wise advice by Solomon. A read that young people should memorize and all other ages. Solomon was very wise, but sadly fell to his own warnings of the immoral woman. Wives that led him astray into idolatry and made him unpleasing in God's sight. Solomon seemingly used his life as a test. A test for all coming generations to learn from. Indeed, his warning against immoral women was true. Solomon was the wisest man to live and fell into this trap. Solomon's example shows how easily one can be trapped into sin. Some say Solomon never repented of his sexual immorality and idolatry. But I would like to think otherwise;I see the book of Ecclesiastes as a form of repentance. Solomon reigned roughly from 930 to 970 BC. He became king while his father David was on his death bed. Among being the wisest man to ever live, Solomon was probably also the wealthiest. The beauty of the temple of Solomon was beauty that never again was met; even in present day.
