Saturday Rendezvous

Saturday Rendezvous is a 90 minute romantic comedy screenplay based on Maurice, a struggling loser in love. Apart from his mother’s ‘smother love’, he watches his flat mate's arrogant and easy attitude with women while he tries in vain to find a girlfriend through the advertising columns of The Times Saturday Rendezvous.
The script focuses on the theme of fear of rejection. While most people in today’s society give the impression of wanting to be single, the many columns of advertising and matchmaking companies seems more popular than ever - hinting that it is not through choice that people are alone today. Saturday Rendezvous exposes Maurice's choices through such a scenario.
