The wild cries rang out shattering the quiet peace of the night as the men hurried in their houses to find their weapons jolted from their sleep and sobered up by the urgent cries renting the air.
The screams were unmistakable in their tone and urgency and every man in Oloitip understood the meaning of the agonizing cry. The village crier was wailing out in a loud, long drawn voice vibrating his vocals methodically.
