The ice age is in full force and suddenly there are no more animals to hunt. When the clan leader, Vig, and two other hunters kill a reindeer, a cave lion goes after them, a beast they can not kill. They are starving and the dead do not stay dead, so they have to flee, but whereto? Follow the clan and its unstable leader Vig as they try to survive. They are hungry and scared, but whatever hunts them have no fear and an even deeper hunger.
