Farmboy-turned-soldier Aebrin took the emissary assignment to the mountain elves thinking it was a simple way to prove himself to his betters. It seemed to be easy — until he found the elven village blockaded by an everburning forest. Now he must decide: find a way through the fiery barrier and face what dangers lie within, or head back to the farm in disgrace?
