In the Spring of 1964, Mike and his father were driving to Marble, Colorado. They had purchased horses and delivered them to the well-known and respected Horseman and Trainer, Mr. "Bud" Gateway. Circumstances occurred and an offer of employment provided the solution; Mike and his father would begin working at the grand horse ranch.
The following months would bring many new experiences for young Mike, and the most intriguing, was meeting and getting to know a very attractive stable hand, Beth Anne. Mike and his father however, would all too soon become the target of lies and deceit that would change the course of their lives. Mike's in particular.
The story does not end there. Sometimes things do not go the way we had planned; and so it was for Mike. And for the rest of us . . . Well, we will just have to read and find out.
