Jennifers Magic Book 2 Lahnis Master

Jennifer nearly dies after capturing the last of the evil sociopath mages known as Bad Souls. She becomes famous after this great deed, but that is not a blessing. Almost all United Kingdom mages know about her most powerful magics and her abilities to identify and disable criminals from a distance. Almost one hundred mages belong to the Free Mage Movement that has grandiose plans to overthrow the mage government and then take over the government of the United Kingdom. FMM's leaders correctly fear that Jennifer will capture them as easily as she captured Bad Souls. The FMM leaders try to protect themselves from Jennifer by kidnapping Jennifer's apprentice, Lahni Kurban, and her younger brother. Jennifer uses powers the FMM leaders don't know about and rescues the children. She accomplishes what the FMM leaders fear and captures all ninety-six revolutionaries in three days. Once again, her success leads to difficulties. She's libelled by all three mage media outlets that want to cut down a powerful mage (now that the murderers and violent revolutionaries are safely in prison). Because of media libel, most mages believe she abused her powers. Some of those mages want to force Lahni to be apprenticed to a different master.

Jennifer faces more problems when she discovers that ten mages want to assassinate her simply because Jennifer's powers greatly exceed their own. The independent groups of assassins all decide to move quickly because they will spend years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder if they don't kill Jennifer.

Jennifer justifiably becomes angry about how other mages treat her, and her anger fuels the fragment of the curse nightmare that she has not been able to destroy. The fragment grows, and it could drive her mad and then capture her soul. Her New Year's resolution is to change her personality to one that doesn't feed off anger. She doesn't know if that's possible.

Not all is bleak in Jennifer's life. Her friend Jason establishes a small group home for orphaned mages. Jennifer and Lahni visit the group home often. The four children behave well, and Jennifer greatly enjoys her visits. Both she and Lahni also visit hospital patients. Lahni has great rapport with elderly patients, especially those who are dying. She loves her visits as much as the patients do. Lahni and Jennifer also save lives by transferring the lifeforces of dying patients to sick patients

Jennifer enjoys acting as taxi between Lahni and her two mage friends, Lydia and Ellie. Jennifer happily notes that Lahni and Lydia are almost as close as Jennifer was to Sarah. Jennifer likes to play back memories of Sarah, but she does not like it when Sarah's soul contacts Lahni. Jennifer tries to drive Sarah away, but Sarah persists. She presents a problem and a task for Lahni. The problem affects the survival of mankind. The task requires great sacrifices from Lahni and Jennifer. Lahni, with Jennifer's help, has four months to prepare. Part of the preparation is that eighteen-year-old Jennifer and twelve-year-old Lahni must become lovers.
