That Special Day in June

Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is a holiday that commemorates the announcement of the end of slavery in Texas in June 1865, and more generally the emancipation of slaves throughout the Confederate South. Each year my family and other families would all gather to a small town, Mexia, Texas to celebrate. And, the tradition and celebration continues to this very day. That Special Day in June is for all the families and all those that love to celebrate freedom, justice and equality.
