Thalen and the Spark of Ancient Fire

Thalen Bandyroot wasn't anyone special. Born to poor miners of the Tredes, a race cut off from the rest of the world, Thalen was primed to live a life of drudgery and be forgotten. Now enslaved, Thalen marches with his people to a desert canyon prison ruled by a sinister queen and her powerful henchmen of shadow and smoke. It is there that Thalen discovers the true power of the fire that ignites his body when threatened. Tredes begin to disappear from their slave camps one by one, and Thalen soon uncovers the real reason for their presence in the canyon.

Racing against the plans of the queen and her army and the gathering strength of an ominous Lord of Shadow in the east, Thalen must embrace the fire within and the power it unleashes. It's the only key to salvation for his people and the discovery of an even greater power.
