Soulmate Complex

Mythology says that the gods created us with two heads, four arms, four legs, and one heart. In the beginning it is said that this is how humans roamed the earth. Then one day the human race did something to anger the gods; punishing us by separating humans into how we are today, one head, two arms, two legs, but not one heart. The punishment for forsaking the gods was not just the separation, because we were supposedly created with one heart, we were forced to continue living with half of a heart when our bodies were forced to divide. The result of living with half of a heart was we were endlessly searching for our soulmate, the person we once shared our body and heart with. Wouldn't it be easier if we are born with a mark that only we can see, but our soulmate shares the same mark? When you come across someone, who can see your mark and shares the same one that you can see in return, you will then know that is your soulmate. A question is posed. What if the person we are endlessly searching for that shares the other half of our heart also shares the same birthmark?
