Broken but Beautiful

BROKEN- that defined me the night of December 17, 2011, when a car, whose driver was under the influence of alcohol, slammed into the car my husband and I were driving. As attempts were made to save my life, my limbs, and my future, the situation appeared dark, tragic, and hopeless. No one ever expects or is ever really prepared for tragedy, but in a split second tragedy overwhelmed the lives of my family and me. Then, the long journey of recovery began. Over the next few weeks, months and even years, I would face not only physical brokenness but spiritual and emotional brokenness as well. However, as I traveled through my journey, a beautiful story unfolded. It is a story that has turned my ugly, disfiguring scars into a beautiful reminder of God's Sufficient grace that Carried me, and His Amazing grace that Revealed in and through me His Super natural strength for each day. BEAUTIFUL, that's my story.
