The Queen's Husband - A One Act Comedy

King Eric III, puppet ruler of a toy kingdom, bears up well under the twin burdens of a shrewish, termagent Queen and an oppressive crown. When his domineering Queen is not berating him for his unkingly conduct, and his Ministers are not demanding his signature for the death warrants of captured revolutionaries, the king somehow manages to save his kingdom, restore the country's constitution, and marry his daughter off to the man she loves.
