George Augustus Selwyn

George Selwyn was specially prepared by God for overseas service. His favorite hobbies happened to be swimming and navigation--perfect for a pioneering minister in New Zealand, which had just become part of the British Empire. On the boat ride to New Zealand, he learned enough of the Maori language to preach in their native language on his arrival.
