This is because Jamaica, the island that made Columbus' eyes bulge as he declared it the most fantastic beauty that eyes could behold, is a wonderful package with the most fabulous natural attractions that you could expect to find in a small space, a mere 4, 411 square miles of 11,424 square kilometres. What this means is that one can move from the scenic mountains to a natural lover's lane on the great river and on to breath-taking waterfalls and white sands beaches, all within a day in the great outdoors, without ever having to get on an aircraft or suffer the indignity and inconvenience of long, slow moving security lines!

While many attractions have been developed for easy access by tourists, there are far more beautiful and unique places to visit, if you have the time and the will to hike, ride or drive off the beaten trail.

This is what we are about as we take you from the cold, beautiful waterfalls formed out of rivers flowing from the high (2256 metres or 7402 ft) Blue and John Crow Mountains, (now a UNESCO site) to the amazing manifestation of huge flames shooting up from underwater in the parish of St. Ann. This is an absolutely one of a kind phenomenon on the planet earth, for despite serious research, I have been unable to find any other such activity anywhere else in the world.

And while the island was formed from volcanic activity millions of years ago, the distinct beauty of the cone of our youngest extinct volcano, Black hill, cries out for a visit. As for our deep, cool blue holes they are numerous all ovev the island with some requiring real stamina to sample, as they are underground.

And speaking pf underground, the entire island offers many caves from the easy to access, like Two Sister's cave in Hellshire, to huge underground caverns in the cockpit country which require real expertise to access.
