Emily is pissed at everyone - her parents most of all - the school bullies next - and her 4' 8" stature over all. Fed up, she takes charge of herself and gets into big trouble - in school and outside.

Here come Martin, 87 year old retired attorney, Judge and wheeler-dealer, who has the universal identity as "the old bastard"-m friends with nobody, in total self-imposed isolation.

Emily's incessant troubles and Martin's iracible isolation make for a humorous read with a surprise ending.
