The Boathouse

The Boathouse is a love story about two young people, Ben and Louise, who live in north London, and what happens to them over the course of a summer before a tragic incident changes lives forever.
The novel is also a love letter, or rather two; one to north London, and one to the Lake District, where the tragedy takes place.
It is light-hearted and contains many facets, including social commentary, history, fascinating facts, and character-based discourses on everything from religion to disc jockeys. There's poetry, there's a bit of sex, a bit of drugs, and a bit of rock and roll in too. There's also a boathouse...
