The E.E. "Doc" Smith Mega Science Fiction Collection

THE E.E. "DOC" SMITH MEGA SCIENCE FICTION COLLECTION features a dozen novels and short stories by pioneering science fiction writer E.E. "Doc" Smith. This collection includes works from Smith's 'Skylark' and 'Lensman' series, as well as several other excellent scifi novels and short stories. His influential 'Lensman' novels helped to pioneer the space opera genre, featuring a broad sweep of two billion years of conflict between two alien races, the Arisians and the predatory Eddorians, who have invaded the galaxy from another dimension. In their eternal struggle, humanity has been enlisted to aid the Arisians. The 'Lensman' series was the runner-up for the 1966 Hugo Award (losing to Isaac Asimov's FOUNDATION series). Smith's 'Skylark' novels, THE SKYLARK OF SPACE and its immediate sequel SKYLARK THREE, are among the first works dealing with interstellar travel, as humans of the near future discover space-drive technology and venture out to the stars, encountering hostile aliens and other wonders.
