Alex is a passionate woman deeply in love with her husband, Leo. She had a rough start in life, but now life is good, that is, until Leo leaves on assignment to Columbia. Soon after arriving in Columbia tragedy ensues and Alex's life is turned upside down. Determined to find out what happened, she leaves the U.S. but is unknowingly followed to Columbia.
As soon as Alex arrives in Columbia, things go from bad to worse. She is pursued by many different factions and is ultimately on the run. Alex finds a friend in Ivan who feels the need to protect her and assists her in trying to get back home.
But her troubles are never far away and their time is cut short. A friend of Ivan's takes Alex in and teaches her a few tricks to help her defend herself and disappear. Once again she is forced to fend for herself, until she runs into a handsome stranger named Cutter, who makes it his mission to help her. She does her best to avoid him since she has been taught not to trust anyone when on the run.
Cutter is a strong, determined individual and usually gets what he wants. He has a fondness for the ladies but has made it his mission not to become attached to any one woman...till he meets Alex. He has strong desires for Alex but she won't give him the time of day. This intrigues him because most women welcome him into bed.
One day she finds herself pressed up against the wall kissing Cutter. She feels his desire pressing on her belly and it's causing her body to involuntarily react. She feels a tingling sensation in between her legs and she pulls him in even closer. Her mind yells no but her body screams yes, oh yes.
