Sheldon Ziegler lost her mother as a young child and as a result she moved from her home in Los Angeles, California to Melvindale, Michigan to live with her deceased mother's great-aunt. Living with Aunt Bessie and her long time significant other Uncle Chip turned Sheldon's life around in many ways.Throughout her childhood, she wanted someone to love her, unconditionally. Sheldon longed for a love like the one shared by Uncle Chip and Aunt Bessie. Nothing came between their love, not even the difference in their skin colors.

The handsome, blue eyed, Zelton Stuckey fell in love with the young, shy Sheldon Ziegler on a wet, stormy night in a bathroom shed at a campground, on Lake Erie. Then, when tragedy struck and Zelton had to save Sheldon's life (Literally!) he knew he was totally in love with the young quiet spoken woman and nothing was going to separate them, not even her wicked best friend!
