My Eyes Grow Weary

The world seems to hold in a second of happiness as the rest of the flurry surrounding the planning and execution of my wedding occurs. Mama is constantly busy, as am I. The happiness is, as she predicted, almost too much to contain. But soon whispers of secession and chaos are in full swing – rumors turn from looming myth to reality full blown and my world starts to be torn apart. As the divisions break apart the only country that I have ever known, and pull apart our family and lives, I begin to experience life in a new way, and all the hardships that come along with it.
