When my son Joshua was five or six, he loved doing cartwheels. One day, while we were outside, I noticed how much fun he was having as he ran, played, jumped, and did cartwheels over and over. His enthusiasm was the inspiration for "Timothy Thymepeace" and family. Now that Josh is an adult, my joy is that he is the illustrator for the book that he inspired.
Over the years as a teacher, I have read this story (in my homemade book form) to many of my students. I hope other teachers will have the fun that I have had sharing it as a favorite read-aloud selection for their students.
Written more than twenty-four years ago, but never published, this unusual picture book about the New Year is sure to become a holiday classic. Not only will children enjoy hearing the story and looking at the pictures, but parents and grandparents will love reading it as they help their little ones share in the excitement of "b--ringing" in the New Year.

A resident of Massachusetts since birth, Joshua has loved drawing from his youth. This is Joshua's first published book.
