On War by Carl von Clausewitz, a book with a formidable reputation for being one of the greatest books ever written about war and an almost equally formidable reputation for being one of the most difficult books ever written about war. In 2008, a reading group set out to see if they could conquer the difficulty so they could see the greatness. This is their story in their own words.
