An Organist Is For Life... not just for Christmas!

A collection of stories of ridiculous, frustrating, nerve-wracking and at times embarassing real-life events that happen to me as I ply my trade as an organist.

You may have seen the organist skulking about at the front of a church, looking frazzled and anxious. Maybe some of these tales will explain why we often appear distant, or even vacant as we take our position on the 'slippery stool' ready to launch into our often under-rehearsed performances for a wedding, carol service, funeral, recital or 'scratch Messiah'!

All the stories are based on real events, but all the names have been surgically enhanced to protect identities and to save me from litigation!
