When Myra Holmes learns that she is dying, she finds a way to return from the dead to Belleporte University as a vampire to continue her research. She soon discovers that her troubles have just begun. A vampire hunter uncovers Myra's true identity and a dean tries to move her office to a 'day use only' building. Then, with animal rights activists threatening her blood supply, Myra's greatest threat comes from her fellow vampires.
