Beatrice Jones comes home to find her mentor and lifelong supporter has died. She must face the loss with help from her aunt but that help has difficulties as the aunt faces issues with alcoholism. Beatrice finds herself alone and working to deal with her own dysfunctional family. In this book, Beatrice, must learn about God's care when she is attacked and has to deal with what to do about an unwanted pregnancy. She learns how God cares for her and how he provides for her even when things look and feel hopeless.
