I am Mrs. Sarah F. Wilburn. I am a wife and mother as well as an educator for twenty-seven years. These poems were birth at the lowest point in my life. I lost my job and became an at home wife and mother. This sudden change affected my family emotionally, and financially. However, things are not always as bad as we think they are. I just had to adjust my new lifestyle by budgeting and prioritizing my spending habits.
Being an at home wife I had a lot of time on my hand. Most of my time was spent housekeeping. However, I spent a lot of time in prayer, meditation, and reading my bible. God began to reveal things to me concerning my life through other people. I was able to see my strengths and weakness spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. As the Lord began to reveal this to me I started to write poetry in 2001 about my past life experiences. This is a God given talent.
I now realize that God is able to perform the good work that he started in me. The Lord will not tempt you more than what is common to man, and he will make a way of escape for you. The Lord has come to my rescue so many times. There is victory in Jesus. He has purged me of my sins and made me meek and humble.
Truly, the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong, but to him that endures to the end. They shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint, and mount up with wings as an eagle and soar with the wind beneath their wings. In due season, you shall reap a harvest of blessings if you faint not. There is a time and season for every purpose under the sun. This is my season to be blessed, as well as yours. The Lord know the plans he has for my life to prosper me and not to harm me.
A special thanks to everyone who had a hand in molding and shaping me into my new life. Forgive me for the frustrations I put you through.
Thank You Lord, for your GRACE and MERCY towards me, your humble servant.
