The Indispensable Word

Jo Ann joined a neighborhood Bible study group in 1974. She was reading Christian books but not the scriptures. She learned of a system for building knowledge and spiritual strength by reading ten chapters each day and found the Bible to be very exciting and transforming. Years later, she heard a Texas pastor say that during a Christian conference, he asked the three hundred people present how many of them had read the entire Bible and only seven people held up their hands. This was so agonizingly sad she felt compelled to write this book because reading the whole Bible is just not that hard if done systematically. This reading takes you through the Old Testament once, the New Testament twice, Psalms five times and Proverbs four times in nine months.
